Membrane tears and holes are the most common problems with PVC roofs. Small punctures can be patched with a PVC roof repair kit in a few simple steps:

Locate the area of the tear, hole or puncture
Remove dirt and debris from the area of the repair using a bristle brush
Scuff the area with a sanding block and clean off the debris once again
Apply the primer from the kit onto the cleaned area and let dry
Cut a piece of seam tape that’s a few inches longer than the hole/gap
Peel off the paper backing on the tape, center it over the cleaned area and press onto the roof
Use a rubber seam roller and roll in all directions starting from the center to ensure adhesion
